Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only drawback is that it tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station has a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may be unable to pick up.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without using a pad. In addition, the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture with low profile, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice touch that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features which make it a good choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. robot vacuum cleaner best is an excellent feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are numerous features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
